Garden Waste Collection Permit

From 19 April 2021, Stirling Council will introduce a garden waste collection permit.

This means garden waste will only be collected from brown bins if they display a valid garden waste permit.

The permit costs £35 per year and runs from April 2021 to March 2022.

Letters will be sent to households throughout March 2021 to inform residents of the change, conditions, and how to apply for the new permit.

Concession scheme

Some households, including those in receipt of a council tax reduction, will receive the permit for free as part of a concession scheme.

Please note that no concession is available for households in receipt of Single Occupancy Council Tax Discount or other Council Tax related discounts or exemptions (e.g. a household occupied solely by students must register and pay for the service).

The Council will automatically send a permit to everyone who is eligible for a free Garden Waste Permit before the service starts on 19 April.
